The First Milestone and Moving Forward
It’s been a week of hurdles, but I’m happy to report that this project officially has its wings. Character movement and core actions are now fully implemented. While it might look like a small step in the grand scheme of Phase One, getting the "feel" of flight right is the heartbeat of this game, and I’m proud of how it’s coming together.
Now that the player can move, it’s time to give them something to shoot at. I’m taking this movement framework and adapting it for enemies and bosses. The technical side should be straightforward, but the real challenge begins with balancing—finding that "sweet spot" between a fun power trip and a genuine challenge.
